Rick Padulo has launched some of the biggest and most successful ad campaigns in Canadian history, including “The Lowest Price is the Law” for Zellers, “Blacks is Photography” and Leon’s “Don’t Pay a Cent Event.” After opening Toronto ad agency Padulo Integrated Inc. in 1985, he built up his business by exhaustive research cultivating a keen and deep knowledge about the clients he served, many of them retailers. In one case, his idea to sell consumers on the idea of layaway at Leon’s transformed the entire retail furniture industry.
